How to fix the error "Device Manager is running in read-only mode because it is running on a remote computer on Windows Server 2008 R2"?
Maybe, of course, a stupid question, but the situation is this: for no reason at all on DC Windows Server 2008 R2, which has just been raised, when you log in locally under the administrator's account, when you try to open the "Device Manager" in standard ways, a message flies which, in theory, only when trying to open it on the grid crashes:
"Device Manager is running in read-only mode, because it is running on a remote computer. To cancel the installation of drivers or change device properties, you should start the Device Manager on the computer where the changes will be made."
Accordingly, there are many bugs in device management. At the same time, if we start MMC and add the Device Manager snap-in to manage the local computer - there is no such glitch .... what's the matter ?
