How to fix squares instead of symbols Arch Linux?

Hello, I have 2 questions:
1. Put Arch Linux on a GPT table next to Windows. Immediately downloaded i3, and xorg-server. Created a .xinitrc file, added exec i3 to it. I started xorg with the startx command. I went into i3, but there are ALL characters in the form of squares, and the characters are English.


How can I fix it?
2. When you log in, you need to configure wifi every time through the wifi-menu, how to make Arch remember the network selection?
