How to fix internet access after reboot?

There are 2 computers inside the home network: a desktop
on the WIN10 wire and a laptop via WIFI on Linux Mint.
The router distributes IP via DHCP. Both network cards receive it.
From the desktop, the laptop responds, but the Internet does not.
From a laptop, the desktop does not respond, but there is Internet.

In the settings of the desktop network adapter, it can show both "You are connected to the Internet" and "Without access to the Internet."
In both cases, the ping to ya.ru does not work.

Connected to the router in different ports through different cables.

It feels like the gateway is incorrectly specified on the desktop. Though, it is distributed after all on DHCP. Then the second option - the DNS server is incorrectly specified. Check - ping the gateway address and, if it pings, then ping Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 - if it pings, then the Internet is somehow there, but the names are not resolved. Then over go to the settings of the network card and see what DNS is registered there. Usually the same as the gateway. If it is, but it does not work, you can try to register Google - 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

Unfortunately, the machine is needed for work, so I had to do as in childhood - reinstall Windows.
Everything worked.
Hence the conclusion - the problem was on the side of the machine, not the router.
A problem was also diagnosed on the side of the laptop under Linux Mint - with a fully working Internet, it was not possible to connect via the VMWare client via OpenVPN to a remote working machine.
I will assume that all the problems were precisely because of the flying OpenVPN settings on both machines.
The reason why they flew, and at the same time, I can’t even imagine.
