How to fix incorrect handling of Cyrillic domains in Wordpress?

Good day everyone!
The essence of the problem: if the site domain is in the .рф zone, it is displayed in the admin panel as punycode. And the most painful thing is that many automatic redirects are buggy (for example, when entering the admin panel), because http_host is converted to punycode, and the engine does not like it (apparently, the comparison condition does not work).
I believe that the root of the problem may lie in the server settings, but there are no accesses there. Is it possible to fix the problem solely by code (plugin or engine upgrade)?
I would be grateful for advice, thanks.

Somehow I ran into this problem. I solved it like this. I bought a domain in Latin and transliterated the text of the links. Ihmo: it's still too early to use Russian characters until PHP 6 is released. You will find a lot of srach on this topic on the net. But this should be decided at the level of standards.
