How to fix chat blur on skype?

Skype glitched in a strange way today. When scrolling up, the chat is smeared and, accordingly, nothing can be read. Before that, I remember changing the notification sounds in the settings, returning everything to the default - there is an error, reinstalled, everything is the same. Maybe someone faced a similar problem?

Faced, and logging out-logging in is not an option. I don't know how to solve :(

This is on 10.8. And also hanging. I had to roll back to 10.7.x
