How to fall in love with desktop design?

guys, hi.
I've been doing UI design for a while now. I love working with mobile applications and mobile versions of websites. but when it comes to designing the desktop version - everything, I have a stupor. I do not understand what it is connected with. This fact is very frustrating, because I think that a good specialist should be able to work with any tasks. I read all sorts of articles, many colleagues in the shop write that it’s more difficult to make mobile versions, but for me it’s the other way around. I looked at other people's work for inspiration, shoveled a ton of information - it's useless. how the hell with this desktop :)
what can you advise?

You take different beautiful and well-designed sites of the same direction and open them in the desktop.
Of these, choose those that are, straight, "love at first sight"! ;)
And then, you think: why are others worse and what is it connected with?
And immediately insight and understanding of the design logic for the desktop will come!

Stop, stop, stop and once again stop)))
There are very two ways. Or you are a wide pro and know how to do everything. Both desktop and mobile interfaces. Or you specialize in one thing.
For example, I can typeset, but my soul does not lie there. I clearly told my management that I am a backend. The layout is done by other guys who, on the contrary, cannot or do not like the backend.
This is normal))
So decide for yourself. Who are you "broad" pro or "narrow".

Mobile versions are much easier to make than desktop. All the main patterns have long been invented, the content is linear due to the specifics of the platform, no one takes complex animations into development, because it is long and expensive.
I can only advise you to start drawing desktop. Turn on empathy and move on. Only experience, only hardcore.

Why love something? Well, these are not pies, this is work, you take it and do it normally, tea is not a girl anymore.
