In general, such a thing .... I have two hard drives on my computer. One of the hard drives is running out of space, and is it possible to take some amount of memory from the second hard drive?

Lots of options

You can mount the new drive as a folder.
You can make a symlink from one disk to another.
Can be added to a raid or disk space.
