How to establish a VPN connection with error 619?

Good afternoon! The VPN server is powered by pfSense (PPTP). We are trying to connect from a client computer running Windows XP. All the time I get an error:
Error 619. Cannot connect to the remote computer, so the connection port is closed.
Checked the port on the server via telnet. The port is open, but the error still remains.

Ask a question to the provider, they often cut GRE.
