How to enlarge everything on the monitor?

On the current 20 "LG monitor, I feel that my eyes are straining. Maybe because the monitor is old (~ 2008) or because the brightness had to be turned up to 100% to stop beeping. In general, I

'm thinking about changing it to 23" DELL to IPS matrix (by the way, the right choice? Dell U2312HM).

So, it would be nice if everything was somehow more chtoli. But at the same time retain all the charm of high resolution. Those “set the resolution to 2 times less and you will have everything hefty” is not an option. And on this monitor, if I increase everything, nothing will fit on the screen.

How can you increase everything at once?

Linux Mint operating system, Cinnamon shell.

in Windows 7/8
Control Panel -\u003e Appearance and Personalization -\u003e screen there you
can set the overall scale to 100, 125 or 150% works in folders too) PS: I'm sorry, I'm falling asleep, I overlooked the operating system, but I think there should be something similar in the settings

According to the description, your Skis are not a monitor, but some kind of misunderstanding. I do not think that you will want to change something by reseeding to the IPS matrix. In any case, it will be possible to change the DPI of the monitor in xorg.conf and the text will be larger. Google "force DPI xorg.conf"

Bought recently such monitor (Dell).
1) The most important thing you need to know and did not find before buying: Panel is LG

Model Response Time Panel
Dell U2312HM	8ms G2G 23"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM230WF3-SLD1)

www.tftcentral.co.uk/
2) I had the same problems at the beginning, if you set the standard resolution (1920x1080) then everything is somehow small.
I decided by changing the DPI in the seven (Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display -> 115
%
) big/?src=api
Monitor settings
Brightness 14
Contrast 73
