How to effectively use the laptop battery when working for a long time?

At work, I sit at a laptop for 4-5 hours a day
. There is always access to charging. What should I do in order not to ruin the battery? I read various tips on the internet, but in my particular case, which is better?
1) Connect to the network and keep it on all the time
2) Charge to y%, then turn it off, work, and when it reaches x%, then turn on the battery again, bring it to y%, turn it off ...
3) Pull out the battery so that everything time to work only then network
4) Something else

If the laptop has such a function, limit the maximum charge to 60% (some lenovo have it)
Otherwise, just keep the charger constantly inserted.

3) Pull out the battery so that only the network works all the time,
but there is a risk when the light goes out, everything open is lost
