How to effectively start a career in Data Science?

Hello!
So, I have a great desire to connect my activities with Data Science in the field of finance, and I would like to get advice from experienced people on how to do this most effectively.
Briefly about the background:

  • higher engineering, but it happened, I won’t go into details, which has been quite a long time and, I must say, quite successfully, I have been doing UI / UX design
  • I have some experience in writing web applications (Backbone + MarionetteJS, RequireJS)
  • I have experience writing Chrome extensions using Angular
  • at the university I got acquainted with Asm, C/C++, C#, Java, JS, PHP, Lisp (no, that's not a typo), as well as development for Android and iOS
  • I know English

Relatively recently, I nevertheless decided to change careers and made a list of the necessary minimum skills for myself in order to get my first job:
  1. Python (+ SciPy, NumPy, Pandas);
  2. Study matan, ruler, terver and statistics;
  3. Do a couple of small projects so that you don't have to go to social services with a bare ass, I'm sorry.

It's been three weeks since I immersed myself in reading Lutz and studying mathematics as much as possible.
I would be glad if someone from this area could help me adjust the plan if necessary, and perhaps give me advice on how to move most effectively. I would like to start the real work as soon as possible.
Important note: the first goal is to get a job with which I can pay the minimum living in the capital. And since I know perfectly well how much the life of a regional is worth there, therefore, I start from the amount of 60k / month. I want to understand what I need to do and what knowledge to have.
Thank you all for reading and I hope to hear something constructive.

I advise you to start by looking for dependencies (inside the input data chains) and identifying the optimal (shortest) paths to achieve the goal.
The easiest option: the tic-tac-toe problem with the construction of the simplest one, BUT! the only correct NN structure.
