Moving from web development to SAP?

Hello everyone, I work as a backend developer, and my friend who works in an oil company has a SAP intern position. I heard about SAP with one edge of my ear, so I wanted to ask experienced members of the forum. How profitable will the transfer to SAP be (I am impressed by the fact that the company is very large, and there is quite a noticeable career growth there).
A friend pulls me there with all his might, but I'm afraid that SAP will turn out to be too narrow-profile and it will be very difficult to get out of it in the event of some kind of force majeure.
Will be very grateful for advice and feedback.

None of my acquaintances SAP'ists do not sit without work for a day. True, none of them love their work.

SAP will be too narrow-profile
depends on which integrator you will be brought into.
One extreme - you will be trusted with one module, the other - you will have to climb the shops and repair the iron.
Therefore, it is trite to interrogate a friend about the essence of the company's work and where exactly you will be sent after the internship
. Also, specify what bonus he was promised for you
it will be very difficult to get out of it in case of some kind of force majeure
if the SAP is covered, then you will not care about IT in principle

who works in an oil company has opened a position

take off your white mittens and go ahead, into the pool with your head, where full zeros feel great.

It's really hard to get out. You get used to good things quickly. SAP is much more interesting than haters can tell about it. If you are afraid that it will be boring, then don’t worry, you will learn how to debug sup and you will get high. I recommend to go. If you master (SAP is not for everyone) there will be an opportunity to raise the standard of living.

I work for a big oil company with glanders. I agree that you will not be left without work (crises do not count). And the picture is in the subject - I judge by myself: there is always a lot of work, they pay normally, I see few children.
