How to diagnose disk health in RAID in ESXi?

Recently, disk failures in RAID arrays on ESXi 5 servers have become more frequent.

There are many servers, disks too.

The following entries are seen in the logs:

Device naa.600605b003960ae0161e2596280d4135 performance has deteriorated. I/O latency increased from average value of 689 microseconds to 21787 microseconds.

Rebooting ESXi and checking the array with every sneeze is quite expensive.

I would like to have a tool for a more complete check of the status of the RAID array and diagnostics.
In ESX 4, it was possible to install smartd and monitor the status of disks in Zabbix, but this is not possible here.

What do you use to monitor disks in ESXi?

For ESXi, each vendor must make their own vib modules, eg. There doesn't seem to be a single solution.

I found it for LSI: kb.lsi.com/KnowledgebaseArticle16655.aspx

For Adaptec, they also have it on their website.
The error can also be caused simply by the array not being able to handle the load.
