How to determine the fate of a pico projector?

In 2011, a Hanvon mini projector was purchased
. The child played enough with it and forgot about it.
Recently it occurred to me to replace the TV in the country with
it. But there were problems with the sound, it itself has a speaker on the floor of cotton wool and a miniJack. There are no questions about the dynamics, it’s quiet, of course, but it also has the appropriate dimensions.
But through the audio output, the sound is extremely quiet (and if this is theoretically solved by amplification), then the constant hiss terribly interferes
. Any ideas what is the problem? Maybe someone has already come across Chinese mini projectors? The question for them is how much they served (or serve).
Or can anyone advise workshops in Volgograd that can help?
