How to determine the best OS option among these candidates?

It is worth choosing the best option for the site. I understand that it all depends on preferences and a specific task, but I will rely on your detailed opinion. Now the server is running Ubuntu 20.04, and there is a problem, it is not clear what the disk is filling up with (it was 4, and now 6 is occupied.

Now the stack is: Ubuntu 20.04 + FASTPANEL + DLE 15.1

Interested in choosing among these proposals. For FASTPANEL does not support other builds.

Debian 11
Ubuntu 20.04
CentOS 7
AlmaLinux 8
Rocky 8

Guys, please, if you give an example of why you should choose this or that OS.

And I will add that I am a noob with linux, I have been sitting on windows all my life. In the future, of course, I will try something.

the disk is not clear what is being filled (it used to be 4, but now 6 is occupied.

Are you sure that the problem is in the OS, and not in the applications?
Looking for what exactly takes up so much space? It is very possible that these are just logs or some temporary files.
Or maybe you just installed some software, and it pulled up so many dependencies.
About the OS - see what kind of software you have, and developments. If all your software works well with ubuntu, you already have all sorts of scripts and instructions on how to administer it, there is some kind of staff of people who know all the nuances - it’s better to continue to sit on ubuntu.
If you see any clear advantages from switching to another OS (not abstract advantages, but those that are of high value to you), and these advantages outweigh all the disadvantages (you still need to migrate), then go.
In my experience:
1. The choice between Ubuntu and Debian is a matter of religion.
2. Debian/Ubuntu LTS editions are suitable for 99% of tasks

How many times have there been such questions, and each time the same thing:
- Which OS to choose?
- The one that your admin knows best.
- Admin - it's me.
- No, you're not an admin, so it doesn't matter what to pile up.

  1. Debian 11, Ubuntu 20.04 are almost the same.
  2. Centos 7 is outdated.
  3. AlmaLinux/Rocky doesn't last long either

@AVKor

Debian 8, 9, 10, 11 (64-bit)

And why are there versions here, even without support for security-related updates? It should be set to 11.
Exotic distributions should not be considered at all.
