How to determine if a user has traffic saving enabled on Windows?
JS has an API navigator.connection.saveData
to check if traffic saving is enabled for the client. On smartphones, it’s clear - there is a special button there. But how to enable this mode on Windows? I want to adapt the application to the traffic saving mode, but what I didn’t do, on Windows 10, in Chrome, navigator.connection.saveData
always in Edge false
. Tried:
- Set the traffic limit on Windows.
- Connect the computer to the network through a smartphone that was connected via 4g.
- Turned on the maximum battery saving mode
