How to delete unnecessary virtual machine snapshots?

I just now realized what these snapshots are, I ran out of space on C)

ubuntu.vdi itself is on D, and the snapshots were saved on C.
How can I delete everything except the current state, or at least shift it to D? And don't ruin it. It seems that you can delete it in the interface and it dies, but it's scary

Apart from merging, there is no way you can get rid of old snapshots without killing the current state - there each next snapshot depends on the previous ones. So stock up on tea (this is usually a long process) and go!
