How to cure wifi on a laptop?

In short: the router is broken. I had to take a long network cable, run it from one room to another (to me), connect it to a laptop (Acer Aspire V nitro (brand)) and distribute Wi-Fi to my relatives. Distributed using the Connectify program. When I bought a new router, I deleted Connectify and now, when I connect to Wi-Fi, even if not to a new router, but to proven networks that used to work, it says "limited". Connectify deleted as expected, through the "deleter" from Connectify. I tried resetting all possible network settings, updated the network adapter driver (Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter), and nothing helped. Help who than can!

"Limited" means that you are connected to WiFi, but without access to the Internet.
How do you usually connect to an ISP? Username there, password. Is there a dialer client?
