How to create complex 3d mockups in Photoshop?

The Internet is full of plush lessons on how to create a box, ball, cylinder, using transformation or the 3D editor built into Photoshop. It's all cribs, and I need some serious muzhik information. For example, I want to create a mockup of a non-standard package, the shape of which is tricky (curve-oblique, designer in general), the lid of the package is tricky (definitely not included in the set of standard meshes and presets), and accordingly, to correctly paint the whole thing from all sides I need full-fledged 3D modeling in a serious adult utility and human UV texturing.
Is it possible to somehow create 3D models and UV maps outside of Photoshop and then import this whole economy into Photoshop so that the UV map becomes a smart object that you go into, change the picture and the design of the model has changed? It is clear that all this can be done in a 3D program, but Photoshop is needed to create a beautiful render of a blank once and quickly generate various designs for it, firstly, and secondly, in the future, I want to start selling such PSD mockups on stocks like an invite or on your own website.
