How to create a printer port that would write a file to a specific folder?
Good afternoon people.
I tried to make a local printer port, and specify the path where I want the files to be printed.
But that doesn't happen. How can this be done using windows?
Virtual printers such as "adobe pdf" print files directly to your desktop, no questions asked.

No ports needed.
I don't know what kind of "adobe pdf" printer you have, but look at its settings. Perhaps there is something like a checkbox "show save dialog next time". Perhaps it is disabled and the printer in this case uses the last remembered path. Seems like I've seen this somewhere. Or maybe just explicitly set the path in the settings.
And so, I have not seen a single virtual printer for which it would be impossible to specify the location for saving the file.
