How to correctly delete photos and videos taken on a smartphone camera in Android so that they are also deleted from web albums?

Over the years, a huge pile of photos has accumulated, most of which are simply not needed, but it’s, of course, too lazy to sit and sort it out, and indeed you never know. I downloaded them all from my phone, archived them and put them on a separate screw where they do not annoy my eyes, now I want to remove this blockage from my phone and web albums (whenever I shoot something, it will soon be automatically uploaded to a private album in Picasa and about this comes a notification in Google+) and start from scratch. Something tells me that simply deleting them as files from the corresponding directory in the smartphone's file system will not be enough. Please advise how to do it right.
