There is an idea and a desire to develop an Internet Service, but there is no understanding of how to work with programmers (freelancers), how to check the effectiveness of their work, and in the future to involve programmers in supporting and updating the created Service, so that in the end he / they just take and not copy the project along with all the source codes, or did not leak the customer base to anyone?

Of course, you can put a bunch of sticks in their wheels, but you won’t be able to protect yourself 100% from “draining” the base. You can use Github Enterprise , etc., but that won't solve the problem.

Plus, the value of your startup should be in the vision of what the service should be and in what direction it should develop. Your developers won't have a strategic picture, but you should. If you don’t have it either, and the developers understand everything better, then it’s hardly worth taking on the project at all.
