Is there a way to contact the author of the github repository?
I didn't find any such functionality.
If it is not there, then what?

There are 2 ways.
1. On the main page of the author, there is his data as an email or website. You need to remove the name of the repository from the link and leave only the name of the author.
2. If there is nothing there, then you can write to the repository in the Issue Tracker. And the author will be notified.
