How to connect to a remote server?

Got my first order on Upwork. The customer threw off access:

Before that I worked through ftp and PHP storm, where I was always thrown off access in the form of ftp.mysite.com vasya123 dabu1d1yb3
I asked the person again, he replied:
It should just be peoriadesignweb.com
sftp [email protected]
Connecting to peoriadesignweb.com
Trying to connect using SFTP (peoriadesignweb.com peoriade pass), nothing. The same via FTP - oops, connected, but there are no files, it's empty.
Perhaps I'm terribly stupid, I would be glad for some tips. It will be a shame to lose your first order due to the fact that I could not download the files
