How to connect gmail mail via IMAP to Outlook.com?

Has anyone managed to connect their gmail account to Outlook.com so that it works via IMAP? For Altomail, for example, this works wonderfully, and automatically.
It connects via POP3 without problems, but who needs it? ..
Or maybe there is another option for adequate synchronization?

No way, outlook.com does not support email collection via IMAP, only via POP3. If you need to synchronize one-time, then in the mail client you can connect both accounts via IMAP and drag folders with letters manually.
