How to connect a local disk to xp pro win, while this PC is not in a domain?

The situation is this.
You need to connect the CNC machine on xp pro win to the storage (synology), the storage is all clearly configured, why I say it works on other CNC machines (from win 7, also xp pro). 1. We transferred the network to the domain and decided that the CNC machines would be simple and would connect via rdgw, but it also didn’t work, so they left it on the old server and users just connected

via rdp . \servername.domain\foldername Valiziet to enter the login password of the user. Login: domain\user Password: ******** 3. It just pops up again the place where the login entered the password , without an error without anything. But it feels like he just took offense at me, and is silent))))

4. Smd1 is enabled on the storage.
5. The user has access to this folder

If the machines are NOT in the domain, then to connect to it, you must use the login password of the local user. When connecting, you must force this local user name without specifying the domain (more precisely, you can use the name of the computer to which you are connecting as the domain)
