Why doesn't zabbix-agent start?

Isn't it about SELinux?
For RedHat/CentOS try this:

yum install policycoreutils-python 
semanage permissive -a zabbix_agent_t

Maybe the /run/zabbix directory doesn't exist?
Maybe the rights are not enough for him.
Try running it manually like this:

$ sudo su - zabbix -s /bin/bash
No directory, logging in with HOME=/
[email protected]:/$ /usr/sbin/zabbix_agentd
[email protected]:/$

Also check the log specified in the config in the LogFile directive
