How to connect a copper line to Asterisk?

Good day to all!
Guys, tell me, how to connect a regular copper line to Asterisk? It seems like I understand that you need a Voip-gateway with an FXO port. Can you recommend anything specific? And yet, it is possible to configure this mode of operation: connect a regular phone to this gateway in the FXS port, and if the gateway loses contact with the asterisk, let the regular phone ring

@gbg

You need a fee, such as
Asterisk - a brutally reliable thing. It will be very difficult to lose a board that is in the same system unit as the server.
But if you really want to - you can simply parallelize the phone.

Look towards the Grandstream HandyTone 503.
Grandstream has a lot of models for any task and cheap.
