How to connect a 4k monitor?

Please tell me how to connect the monitor in my case. There is a monitor https://catalog.onliner.by/display/samsung/u28e590d with support for display port, hdmi, 4k; MacBook Pro 2016 (4 usb-c); wire (probably mini display port to display port in which in the monitor or thunderbolt to display port (I can’t tell them apart)), but on a MacBook Pro with thunderbolt, this monitor works when connected directly. Will it work if I connect the cable that is available to this adapter (mini display port or thunderbolt to display port) and will it output 4k? If the adapter is working, then it will work.
