Can a MacBook output 120Hz (1080p) to an external monitor with HDMI and DisplayPort?
Hello, can you please tell me if the MacBook can output 120 Hertz (1080p)
When connected to an external monitor via a USB C - Display Port connection (of course the monitor supports)
Do you need an adapter or maybe you need a pure wire from usb c - dp?

Use only a usb-c adapter or wire that can pass the necessary signal. DP cable is not very cheap, so if you don't have it, then think, an adapter or a cable. With HDMI, there will eventually be more bandwidth issues. For example, a not very cheap HDMI adapter only gives 30hrz 4k on my monitor.
Personally, I bought for 4k 60hrz on my macbook m1 on ozone, 1300 rub. - Adapter adapter "2 in 1" VCOM USB 3.1 Type-C (M) - DisplayPort (F) / PD (F) power supply [email protected] 0.15m metallic gray (CU453) .
And if the monitor does not connect normally, then there is software (paid of course), where you can switch to hipdi and other working formats.
