Can a MacBook output 120Hz (1080p) to an external monitor with HDMI and DisplayPort?

Hello, can you please tell me if the MacBook can output 120 Hertz (1080p)
When connected to an external monitor via a USB C - Display Port connection (of course the monitor supports)
Do you need an adapter or maybe you need a pure wire from usb c - dp?

Use only a usb-c adapter or wire that can pass the necessary signal. DP cable is not very cheap, so if you don't have it, then think, an adapter or a cable. With HDMI, there will eventually be more bandwidth issues. For example, a not very cheap HDMI adapter only gives 30hrz 4k on my monitor.
