How to configure Squid3 and tproxy in non-transparent mode?
Good day.
We use caching Squid3 in transparent mode with the tproxy option, everything works, OC Linux Debian.
Our Internet channel is very small, so there is a shaper between the proxy server and the Internet, on a separate machine, it prioritizes traffic, cuts speed, balances different channels, etc., which is why tproxy is actually used to see real client ip addresses. The speed of sending traffic from the cache is not limited.
And now there is a need to use this proxy in the normal mode (i.e. clients in browsers specify the address:port of the proxy and work).
But squid does not want to directly accept connections on the troxy port (3129), it only accepts connections on the regular port (3128), but then the shaper sees only the ip address of the proxy server, and not the real ip addresses of the clients.
How to take advantage of tproxy with regular, non-transparent proxying?
How to use both transparent and non-transparent proxying with tproxy?
Maybe there are other ways to implement this scheme?
