How to compile a Qt 4.8.7 application under Linux?

Hello! I almost never worked with Linux, so this topic is absolute zero, I really hope for your help.
There are several cpp files with a Qt program. These source files need to be compiled under Linux, the program was written in Qt 4.8.7. I tried to download Qt Creator on Linux, but you can only select libraries Qt > 5.0 version, and I need 4.8.7.
Or is it necessary to manually download the libraries with the Qt 4.8.7 source code and build it at home? And after assembling, what to do with them, where to connect?
