How to choose the right field of work?

I studied in the direction of applied mathematics, respectively, I know a lot of numerical methods, mathematics, and to some extent physics. Now I am finishing my master's degree in the same direction, with a bias in parallel technologies. I know how to use MPI, CUDA and OpenMP. I know some scientific software, I programmed only in C ++ using Python for visualization, I mainly solved modeling tasks. I will evaluate my level of programming as a beginner. I use Linux.
Now the questions are - where to go with such skills? I don't want to work exclusively in science. I would like to work with what I already know. How to choose a suitable area and what to pay attention to, what else should be studied and mastered in order to become a good specialist?
I am completely at a loss when trying to find a job, the only possible option was SQL, which I am familiar with and which I am not very interested in, like web development.

Physics and mathematics are fully used in game development. I especially recommend 3D (there will be a lot of mathematics for you) - you will master different algorithms for lighting, shading, etc. and become a very valuable and expensive specialist (vacancies for 3D programmers can hang for months, quite rare shots)

You just need to decide on a specific direction yourself and choose several companies, and work with them more specifically. Perhaps you simply do not follow what companies are on the market and what they do. Gamedev or data is too different, you can't prepare for everything.
nothing needs to be studied if a specific direction is not clear
Send your resume to mail.ru, gaidjin, zeptolab, (and what you find with C ++), the same with data, to some Sberbank technologies, Tinkoff digital, etc., in the process of communication, find out what specific positions are and what they imply.
With VMK there should be no problems with employment, a good option, while looking for something special, just go to Yandex / mail.ru, have you already been to them?

It seems to me that a mathematician needs to get a job in the field of data analysis, and intellectual. This area will be on the rise in the coming years.
As for any web or desktop type developers, they are like dirt.
Position yourself where there is demand and there are not many competitors.

Now oilmen are developing a model of oil reservoirs. Offer them your knowledge, and they have enough money.

There is always a use for these skills. There are two ways to solve this issue:
1. Create a competent resume that would describe you as a highly qualified specialist, or a promising future specialist.
2. Wherever mathematics, physics design can be used, whether it be an architect, a 3D layout designer or an analyst in general.
And then see for yourself. I'm generally an economist by education, but I work with an online store, I'm learning how to promote.
