How to change xorg.conf in Ubuntu 16.04?

The eternal problem is tearing when installing firewood from Nvidia. It is treated by adding a couple of options to the config of the Intel card (since Nvidia works through Intel).
In general, now trying to manually change xorg.conf in Ubuntu 16.04 does not work, for this they created the directory /usr/share/xorg.conf.d/ - I tried to create xorg.conf there from my current config (and from what generates nvidia-xconfig ) - black screen, tried to create the 10-gpu.conf file there (I saw it on the Internet, I don’t know what neither the number nor the name is responsible for) - also a black screen ...
There are two questions - what should the file in / usr be called /share/xorg.conf.d/and what should be its minimum content for my purposes?

X configs, like many years ago, are still in /etc/X11.

man xorg.
It describes all the paths where the X standard looks for xorg.conf - at least /etc and /etc/X11. I don’t know which one he will take if he finds several, I always had the config in FreeBSD in /etc, now in Calculate Linux it is in /etc/X11
/usr/share/xorg.conf.d I don’t have it, I have /etc/ X11/xorg.conf.d, there are the usual pieces of xorg.conf
