How to backup a Windows 7 license and restore the system in update mode without hemorrhoids?

There are about 30 computers in my computer park with Windows 7 that need to be updated to Service Pack 1. Computers are motley, some with folders rubbed into the trash with the help of free space cleaning utilities (as you know, not all that glitters is gold, and these programs sometimes they remove what is then very necessary), some with other types of failures, but as a result, on these computers, when trying to install SP1 (I remind you, this is the KB976932 package), errors appear, moreover, both when installing from the update center and through offline package. For a long time I tried to solve everything "in a good way", and ran sfc /scannow, and copied the missing files from the reference image, but in the end I came to the conclusion that the most adequate and fastest, and most importantly, a universal way to bring everything to a working view is to install Windows 7 in update mode (for this, I placed an unpacked Windows 7 disk image from MSDN on a shared network drive and launched setup.exe so as not to reinstall, but to "update" the live system). Everything is great, everything is cool, but there is one big BUT ... This approach throws off the already existing Windows license, which I suppose is not good, if I have a MAK key that has a limit of 50 installations. I would like to update the system in such a way that the key is not reset, or at least make a backup copy and then restore it (naturally, without piracy, only on the original machine). Tell me how can this be done? namely "updating" a live system). Everything is great, everything is cool, but there is one big BUT ... How to backup a Windows 7 license and restore the system in update mode without hemorrhoids?
The license is a legal document, keep it in a safe. Or ask the copyright holder for a copy.
If you are interested in restoring the system without losing activation and installed programs - keep a system image.
Created using standard Windows backup tools.
and these programs sometimes remove what is then very necessary
These programs are essentially malicious software, and those who use them are evil Pinocchios themselves.
In general, they installed the system, the necessary software, updates, drivers, activated it - they took an image of the system disk and store it.
At any time, roll back to the desired state.
It's also a good idea to update it - once a month, six months, a year.
