How to automatically backup configs of different switches?
Hello dear!
There is a network from a zoo of equipment - Cisco, D-Link, Huawei, etc. etc. Everything is divided into several subnets, but today there is a cisco on this IP address, and tomorrow there was an accident and it was changed to something else in emergency mode. No one is going to hammer it anywhere.
Therefore, the task is to scan subnets, automatically determine the manufacturer and apply the appropriate commands to backup the config.
It is clear that you can write a script, blah blah blah, but I'm sure there are modern ready-made open source solutions for such a seemingly common task. Or is it now fashionable to decide in general somehow differently?
I repeat - no one will keep the database model-ipishnik, it should be scanned on the machine.
