How to add a subdomain to another hosting?

Hello everyone, please tell me how to do this correctly?
There is a subdomain 1.site.com how to place it on different hostings? Number of hostings 10
Or is it necessary for each hosting to make its own subdomain, in the form:
1.site.com - this is hosting No. 1
2.site.com - this is hosting No. 2
3.site.com - this is hosting No. 3
, etc. d.
Or is it possible only on one subdomain?

For each subdomain, write an A and/or AAA type record in DNS with the IP address of each of the hosts.
And on each hosting, configure the web server so that it responds to the request with the appropriate subdomain (sub1.example.com must be specified in full)
