Hello. I am a student at the Information Security course and I have this question: you have an author's program and it has a security code and everything works perfectly in your computer, it is placed in the right place on the hard drive, and on someone else's program lies in another place on the hard drive, respectively, is inserted in the wrong place and then you get access to the hard drive and crash it. Usually the program at installation knows, whence it is started. Either registers itself in the registry, or in the text config next to it. In difficult cases, the program remembers the configuration of the computer and runs only on what corresponds to the "protection code". To be honest, I didn't understand the problem.
