One of the two partitions on the hard disk does not open

Given:

12 hours time and Dell Vostro 3500 laptop;

Task:

save data from the screw and install Windows;

Problems:

  • The laptop has a hard drive with two partitions, one of which C: - "RECOVERY" is perfectly visible and opens, and the second D: - "OS" with the seventh Windows is visible, but does not open.
  • Ubuntu Live CD completely refuses to mount the hard drive with an error: "Failed to calculate free MFT records".
  • I drove the first 2%, found 4 sectors with an access time of 500ms, but there were working screws with worse results. Experience suggests that Victoria checks 80-100GB in 1 hour, and there is not much time to drive all 500GB in 6 hours, the owner of the laptop leaves soon, far and for a long time.
  • Hard SMART is good, only G-Shock/free-fall readings show 1 fall.
  • The situation is complicated by the high temperature of the laptop. In simple Windows 7 PE, HWMonitor shows 60 degrees on the processor and motherboard, and when I did "chkdsk d: / r", the computer turned off twice by 53%.
  • Startup Repair does nothing. Generally.

  • From the interrogation of the owner, it turned out that the laptop was working fine and “suddenly” stopped working normally and after loading, instead of choosing the user, it shows an empty colored Windows 7 background.
    Diagnosing problems with laptops is not my forte, but there is no one to help my friends. Thanks in advance for your help.

It would be logical to clean the laptop from dust and smear fresh thermal paste
, plus it’s nice to have an external hard drive or at least a box from one - you take out the hard drive and connect it via usb - there are fewer problems
personally, I forked out a long time ago for an ide / sat => usb controller. the stray has its own power and can attach 3.5/2.5 screws
for recovery using GetDataBack or R-studio - 12 hours even for a 500Gb screw
is enough create a partition, say 1GB and do not touch it, and give the next partition to the system
, go for it, good luck

The easiest thing to try is to perform CHKDSK on the balcony, or leaving the laptop on the open window (considering the temperature outside the window, it may work) ... well, or use special cooling devices for laptops.
If this does not help, then it remains to use Victoria. To be honest, for 12 hours the task is quite difficult ...

Some time ago, I also encountered the problem of data recovery after unsuccessful attempts to resize disks, some files were recovered only through this program .

5% after the start of the test in Victoria:
(200ms) - 9
(600ms) - 18
(>) - 0
(Err) - 31
Judging by this answer Windows constantly crashes on the laptop , you can no longer scan hard.

1) chkdsk can “drive” data into unrelated pieces of data
2) data must be restored from a patient clone
3) www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

Save all bad data through another device to an external container! But I feel like you killed him! The fall may have physically lifted the surface with the disk to work on the stand! This is an expensive business, the more necessary the data, the more expensive! Hozu say let him say goodbye to data that is not readable and MBR ...zetz!
