How not to download files again when reinstalling the system?

There is a folder with all the files. I reinstalled the system, the program settings were not saved
Installed dropbox, what to do next, so as not to download the files again, but use this folder.
I specified the path to it in the settings, but now 2 folders are created, one is downloaded, and the one that was becomes "name (Selective synchronization conflict)" and is not used in any way
