The question will probably not be too detailed, but the essence is this. I work as a 3D artist and there is one program called UVLayout. It is needed to create a sweep of 3D models. I need a program with the full functionality of UVLayout, that is, so that I can unwrap in it, and additionally, so that I can load maps of additional detail for the model, and change the unwrap so that all maps change. As an example, there are 2 models that are already completely ready, the unwrapping is ready, the textures are baked and configured, and they need to be combined into one model with one unwrap. The program should separate all parts of the unwrap from each model by alpha channel, select all these parts on the entire set of maps and compose in automatic mode or allow the user to manually create a new unwrap. The main property of the program (this has not yet been implemented in any existing program) is the alpha channel separation of each part of the sweep on all maps of additional detail (it sounds and seems simple, but for some reason no one has done this yet). That's actually the whole description. I don’t really (at all) understand programming, but I understand that such a description is not enough, but I don’t know how else. In general, now the question is how much it will cost to develop such a program, and how long it will take. At least some numbers. Or even as an option, if I make a modification to an existing program that I need, is it real? That's actually the whole description. Find out how much such an improvement will cost. It's probably less than writing an application from scratch.

It will cost a lot) and certainly more than one person will have to work on this. I like the way a person talks, "it sounds and seems simple, but for some reason no one has done it yet." Probably because it’s not easy at all!) Although, again, it all depends on which company you contact, maybe there are hardened guys who saw such things for one, two (which I very much doubt)
And in the case, prepare a couple of hundred thousand, if no more ... Well, at least a year of time to develop this "just a program"
