How many satellite TV channels are caught out of the box (without firmware, plug-in cards, etc. - beat the free ones) from the Sirius + Amos + Hotbird satellites?

This is not quite the right question. Depends on which standard the receiver supports DVB-S or S2 too. Plus, it is not indicated which satellites these are, Amos and Sirius, a whole bunch of dangling in geostationary orbit.
Therefore, I tend to agree with MicRaiS that there are about as many channels. But whether it is worth considering any advertising garbage, as well as channels with fortune-tellers, half-naked girls and half-naked fortune-tellers, channels is a personal matter for everyone.
