How long does it take for a domain name to resolve?

According to pingdom.com, about half of the site load time (~3-4 seconds out of 6) is domain name resolution.
How can you speed up the process?
Server on firstvds, ns are also from firstvds.

You can try Yandex mail for the domain. Despite the name, they provide free DNS, mail and Jabber. What you use with them will depend on your DNS settings. If there were these services, maybe I would have stayed on firstvds in due time, because. with all the giblets that are needed to manage the DNS, there are no resources left at all useful. In my case, it was easier to go to shared hosting, which I did. In addition, on that share and DNS, MySQL is also normally managed on a separate server, so the performance of the server is very high. Can't compare to VDS.

I found out on sweb, they said specific records in the DNS are only done through support (TXT, SRV, NS), so I chose another hosting.

What is it that confuses you about?
A person opened the site once, waited in any case, the address was cached on the local DNS and on the user's computer, and all pages are then opened without a long DNS request.
Transferring dns, I think the situation will not change, there will be the same long dns request.
To be honest, the opening of the page for 2-3 seconds is somehow not yas, work on optimizing the site.
