How long does apple support their macbooks?
Good afternoon!
I'm thinking of buying a poppy to develop software for this platform, but I'm sorry for the money for a new one. I once read that for older Macs, apple stops doing OS updates and this no longer allows you to build projects on the appstore. Is this true, if so, how long does a poppy live before it becomes trash for a developer?

10.11, for example, is supported on:
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or newer), (15-inch, Mid / Late 2007 or newer), (17-inch, Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
And if you don't chase the latest versions, then another year, at least.
For development, it is not necessary to update to the top version of the OS.
Long, 6 years to be exact.
Iron itself does not live that long (at least it becomes morally obsolete), so consider that the support is eternal.
