How is the lifting table mechanism arranged?
Hello
I would like to calculate the cost of materials for the lifting table mechanism (computer table with a variable table top height) based on an electric motor.
As I
understand it, there are two approaches:
- the use of one electric motor installed on one of the two table legs, the transmission of torque to the second leg is carried out through the cardan
- the use of two electric motors, for each leg, synchronized by the controller
leg?
Perhaps there is a rack and pinion mechanism installed there?
How is it done in the tables that are sold in stores?

google LINAK
there is usually hydraulics,
although xs what
else can it be, but it certainly doesn’t
look like a rail, it’s a regular thread or whatever it’s called
Just a screw with a nut.
The nut in the down tube is fixed, the screw in the bearing in the top tube.
The motor turns the screw - the nut goes back and forth - the telescopic tube lengthens / shortens.

It seems to me that making such a table with a lifting mechanism would be too dreary and "collective farm" at the exit. My son has been working standing up for more than three years now, and we just ordered a wide loft-style solid wood table with a leg height of 100 cm. This is enough to put another keyboard and mouse organizer and work in a standing position without numbing hands. Try searching online furniture stores for similar tables. Right now, there are a lot of New Year's promotions, you can easily snatch furniture at a nice price :)
