How is data collected for UX design?

It is possible directly stupidly on fingers? It would be nice if there were links to videos.
Here I have a working application or website. How can I improve UX? Where can I get information for this, how to understand what users want and what is inconvenient for them?
There are Yandex Metrics and Google Analytics for websites, what to look for in them and how to draw conclusions?
And what about the application? Are these analytics systems also connected there?

How can I improve UX?

Correlate the goals and objectives of users and how your site solves their problems. And also see what the owners want from the site and whether these wishes are being fulfilled.
Ask users in some way. In a simple way, you can ask what they think, in a complex way, you can conduct usability testing. There is a book about this by Steve Krug "Don't make me think". To do this, again, you need to understand why the site was created (what problems it should solve), and then test scenarios on users.
If the site has competitors, then you can look at them and try to identify "features" that can help solve some problem.
When designing a website, there are two sides: users and business. You need to make sure that users feel comfortable and useful on the site so that they do what the business wants. For example, they paid money.
