How important is PageSpeed from google in 2019?
Hello. How important is PageSpeed from google to SEO and other factors?
Let's say my site loads quickly (by eye), I don't notice any sagging and I don't wait 2-3 seconds, everything is pretty good.
At the same time, I have PageSpeed 80, there is a competitor in my niche, which also loads quickly, but its PageSpeed is 99.
Is it worth it to be forced to pervert to achieve the same result? Will it affect my positions or indexing or ranking?

I would look at a site that, with Yandex analytics, Google metrics, and gtag, gives out 99 points on the mobile version.
The result of this is this: You and your competitor have 2 sites with +\- 10 points on google speed insight - he has 10 points more, you have less, let's say he wins by not including metrics for analysis. As a result, the one who has the best technical optimization of the site, the best content, excellent texts, the age of the domain and many other factors will win.
Google Speed Insight gives your site only a subjective assessment, and only from a technical point of view. It does not give you an analysis of the content of the site and other trifles. So pushing Google's scoring system to the point of absurdity is a rat race.
And besides, google itself often lies, the scores change depending on the load on the server, the number of requests to your site, and so on and so forth. Use gtmetrix - as for me, it gives a big picture of performance.
PS\2: In the end, semantics can also play a good role if you have a divyanka site on your site, and your competitor has the correct semantics with header\main\footer\aside\h1\h2 and so on - seo robots will be perplexed about your site, and love your competitor's site, and if you have at least 100 points - and he has 75 - you will not rise higher.
It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not red, the rest is not so important, and I even saw sites in the top that hang in the red zone and nothing.
Most likely you have a Shitty eye
2-3 seconds, I don’t wait, I already closed the site, they are not needed
If you give back in two hundred ms, you don’t have to worry
It is almost impossible to achieve good results.
But one of my sites shows 90% on mobile and 100% on desktop.
Similar to 99.
It all depends on the functions of the site. Some marketplace will look like a slow piece in pagespeed.
