How important are reviews for a freelancer?

I have been working on the web for more than a year, but there are quite a few reviews on freelance exchanges - in most cases I worked directly. Is it worth worrying about it? How important is it?

If you work on the stock exchange, this is the most important indicator

You are not paid for reviews, but for work. If your client flow suits you, then there is no problem.

On the stock exchanges, this is like authority!

Feedback is an additional argument for a new customer.

The more reviews, the better. Make a landing page, let all former customers leave their feedback. Or at the exchange where you work.
Today, there are a lot of people who want to earn extra money on the stock exchanges. And if you have a lot of reviews, a large portfolio - more likely to find a new customer.

Try after the completion of the project to ask the permission of the employer to give his contacts to the following customers, for feedback and recommendations. Especially if you managed to participate in the project of some well-known company in its field. Such reviews have repeatedly helped me in the search for new projects.
On the stock exchanges, specialists with a good rating have psychologically more confidence, especially for new customers who decide to try working with a freelancer for the first time.
