How does the number of calls from the site change when you specify a phone number: mobile, landline or free 8800?
Greetings.
On the website of a local service center for the repair of equipment in one city, a mobile phone number is indicated for communication. The owner says there were no complaints, not once. If the main mobile number is changed to a landline or free (8800), what do you think, or maybe you know, will there be an increase in the number of calls or is it just to add a couple of percent to the total number of calls? If you know real cases, I will be grateful for the information. Just wondering if anyone is paying attention to this now.

With a mobile phone, the conversion is worse! My brother has 3 phones on the site at once: 8 800 / 8 812 / 8 911 I
recommend that you indicate two numbers: 8 800 and 8 812 (area code) . Locals call 8 812, while others call from other regions / or mobile phones. Since many people still have a stereotype that calling 8 812 from a mobile phone is very expensive. And on 8 800 - calls within the territory of Russia are free.
Conversion can go up to 5%. But again, it all depends on the identity of the site where the numbers are placed. It may be that the conversion does not change at all.
In any case, I'm sure you should use two numbers.

According to the experience of our clients, if a business operates in the region and provides services there, then they are more likely to call landline numbers, if the business does not have local borders, then they turn to 8-800 numbers for support. Mobile numbers on the site are less and less trusted every year. And an important nuance - they often call the number that is allocated larger (if 495 is allocated larger than 800, then according to statistics, more calls go to it). You can also easily test on the example of your business, connect three numbers, monitor call statistics, you can even connect these three numbers to free static call tracking.
A/B testing?
From experience: they call 8-800 much more willingly than a mobile phone, if the business is not local, but all-Russian, for example.
8-800 immediately increases the number of customers, I know for myself. More trust than with mobile.
