How does the connection of players via the Internet work, as it were, over a local network?
Hey! I play Watcraft3 through https://irinabot.ru and it became interesting how this service works. To work, you need a connector program (there is a cacert.pem file in the folder with the program). I run it on my computer, then go to the site and click on the game and it shows up in Warcraft under 'LAN play'. Actually it is interesting how this can be implemented.
As I understand it, theoretically this can be done through vpn, that is, the connector is a client, it connects to the vpn server. It is interesting that the game becomes visible in Warcraft'e only after clicking on the button on the site, it is not clear how to do this.

I won’t tell you about the button on the site, but according to the implementation, yes - they let you through your VPN and that’s it.
it is enough, in theory, to make "your" vpn and you can also play calmly
